Our rooms for hire


Hatfield Peverel Village Hall offers a range of flexible, well-equipped spaces for hire, suitable for parties, classes, meetings, performances and regular community groups.

Our Main Hall has a traditional wooden floor and a stage with modern lighting, and seats up to 150. Alongside it we have the Lounge and Bar, the Vic Olley room (Room 3), two further meeting rooms (Room 1 and Room 2) and a fully fitted commercial Kitchen.

Standard and reduced Community rates are available – the Community rate is for locally based charities and non-profit organisations serving the local community. Select a room below to check availability and request a booking.

Main Hall

Capacity: 150 people
Pricing: £17.00-£25.00 per hour

Our largest space - a bright, versatile Main Hall with a stage and modern lighting, seating up to 150. Ideal for parties, celebrations, performances, fairs, classes and larger community events, with the fully fitted commercial Kitchen and the Bar and Lounge close at hand.

Equipment & services

Bar service (£15/hour) can be added to any room booking. There is a bar hatch in the Main Hall and another in the Lounge which serves the Lounge and Room 3. Please note that you may not bring your own alcohol onto the premises.
There is no hire charge for use of the stage but a £200 returnable damage deposit will be requested 1-2 weeks before your hire
Portable projector and screen
We have 12 round wedding-style tables (1.83m diameter - seat 10) in the chair store. For health and safety reasons, the wedding style tables must be set out and packed away by Village Hall Staff. Please use the quantity field to tell us how many tables you require.

Room 3 (Vic Olley)

Capacity: 60 people
Pricing: £15.00-£18.00 per hour

Room 3 (The Vic Olley Room) - a versatile function and meeting room for up to 60, suitable for parties, classes, clubs and community groups. The room includes state-of-the art Video Conference, HD Presentation, Film and surround sound facilities, plus there's access to the Bar and Lounge (booked separately).  This room is accessed from the Bar/Lounge, or its own direct entrance from the Rec. 
Available on its own, and offered with the Lounge as a combined hire.

Pricing: £14.00-£17.00 per hour

A comfortable, relaxed Lounge with its own bar, seating up to 60. A welcoming setting for social gatherings, receptions, meetings and smaller functions, and available alongside a Hall hire or on its own.

Pricing: £12.00-£14.00 per hour

A bright, self-contained meeting room for up to 18 - well suited to committee meetings, small classes, workshops and interviews. Room 1 can be added free of charge to a weekend Main Hall hire of 5 hours or more, subject to availability (please ask when booking).

A fully fitted commercial Kitchen with the equipment needed to cater for events in the Hall, Lounge or meeting rooms. Available to add to a main hall hire or to book on its own.
